It’s art month and we’re all filling our schedules with dates and exhibition names. Most notable ones are of course Art Basel and Art Central, but there are many new places you can explore before and after to make the most of your trip to Hong Kong.

1. Van Gogh Alive Exhibition
Dates: 6th April – 7th July, 2019
Experience a different kind of exhibition, with multi-sensory displays and interactive pieces, this is a new way to give a breath of life to Van Gogh.
2. South Island Art Day
Date: 29th March, 2019
The entire South Island bands together in efforts to promote arts and culture. Come see the exhibition openings, art performances and even join the guided tours.
3. Fo Tan Open Studio
Dates: 31st March, 2019
Fo Tan Studios are home to over 50 artists, many local talents, striving to make a career in different artistic practises, such as painting, sculpting, ceramics and 3D model making. Come and get your head in the game with everyone else on this day to get a taste of what it’s like.
4. Portrait of Hong Kong by Fan Ho
Dates: 21st March – 28th April, 2019
Fan Ho has taken some marvellous photos over the years documenting the different faces of Hong Kong. Come to the Blue Lotus Gallery to have a look at his works!
5. Hong Kong Photo Book Fair
Dates: 29th – 31st March, 2019
The 5th edition of the fair will be held in the Hong Kong Art Centre. Check out these photo books while you have the chance!
